Traco Customer Account Manager
Traco Packaging, Inc. has been in business since 1985 and has worked diligently to become the industry leader in service, quality and reliability of flexible packaging, printed labels, and supplies. We are currently looking for a motivated, self-reliant, skilled, team member to fill the position of Customer Account Manager for our headquarters facilities located in Orem, UT.
This position is primarily responsible for supporting & managing customer projects from beginning to end. In this role you will be the main link between the customer, your supported Sales Representative and Operations. In this role you must manage the customer’s project while communicating effectively with your supported Sales Rep and Operation. Manage and maintain overall customer relations through project accuracy, communication, and service for all of our packaging product lines. The account manager is responsible for providing effective customer service and project management for all internal and external customers with in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within Traco.

Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.
Provide timely feedback to the sales and production team regarding service failures or customer concerns.
Manage efficiency and account order entry procedures regarding, estimating, planning, product/project sampling and production scheduling.
Process customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.
Foster, encourage and support a team oriented working environment.
Work closely with sales team and production to reduce lead times, ensure quality, and provide on time delivery of projects.
Maintain proactive communication and management of customer objectives and requirements.
Assist product development team by confirming client order receipt & entering them and project specifics into the Visual ERP system as needed.
Coordinate shipment of customer’s completed product, including freight quotes, and communicate preferred method of shipment in a timely manner.
Work closely with the credit department to resolve disputed credit items.
Ensure changes in customer project specifics such as art, size, quantity, etc. are well communicated throughout company.
Communicate specific account strategies internally to key stakeholders.
Organize and manage internal resources to meet financial, and growth objectives of assigned accounts.
Review research on customers’ business, markets, and industry trends.
Work closely with material planning and production scheduling to ensure accurate project specifications and delivery.
Contribute to the goals and objectives of the account management team.
Provide timely project reports, briefings and reviews as required.
Document, prepare, process, and closeout Credit Memos and Return Merchandise Authorizations
Monitor production and shipping schedules daily to manage work order due dates (vendor dates and final ship dates).
Communicate with Production on shortfalls and overages on orders to meet client and industry +/- production metrics.
Manage profitability of customer accounts in conjunction with outside sales rep.
Consult directly with customers regarding new or improved product offerings when they call.
Verify customer credit terms (Pre-pay, Net, 50% Down, Credit Hold, etc.) prior to their projects being scheduled for production.
Provide accurate order specifications for the commercial and engineering aspects of projects.
Serve as primary point of customer contact for specified Packaging accounts.
Identify changes in customers’ buying patterns and product requirements through periodic review.
Work with Purchasing on sourcing production materials for customer’s projects.
Resolve customer quality issues in conjunction with Traco stakeholders.
Maintain customer information, order history, samples, and pricing.
- Must be flexible in managing tasks and dynamic with understanding of manufacturing processes and internal business procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree is desired.
- Minimum of 3 Years of relevant work experience in a similar role in customer service a background in commercial printing manufacturing/customer service environment is desired
- Experience with Manufacturing ERP software or similar is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Adobe Illustrator or high rate file transfer is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and account management. They will have an understanding of manufacturing environments and be an advocate for the customer.
